What does Danielle Lambrecht's Couselling Practice offer you?
I offer you a warm welcome, an inviting office, and a competently trained
counsellor. I am a counsellor who listens to everything you say and more. I
believe that listening is one of the most important skills any counsellor can
have. It allows me to know who you are, how you communicate, what is
bothering you, and most importantly how I can then help you. I value our time
together and always promise to do my best in meeting your needs and goals.
I am dedicated to identifying and addressing the root causes of your personal
issues. I utilize therapies that have long lasting effects for you, you and your spouse, and family. I work very hard to seek the answers to the underlying causes of what brings you to counselling. I consider myself a "digger" type counsellor, who digs deep until the root issues are unearthed and brought to "light". I believe it is only until then do we know where we need to go from here. Once the root issues are identified and agreed upon then I work hard to create a thorough plan to manifest the changes you are needing to become that fully functioning, happy person you are capable and deserving of being.
I have a Masters Degree in Counselling, with a specialization in Counselling Psychology (M.C.). I am a Certified Canadian Counsellor through the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. Certification Number #7453. I am also currently a member of the BC College of Social Workers. Certification #11093. I hold a current Business License, Liability Insurance, and I am a member in Good Standing with both of my Associations. In December 2016, I became trained as a clinical counselling hypnotherapist.
I have worked in the field of Mental Health and Addictions for over 15 years. I am competent in the skills of assessment, counselling, and treatment planning. I counsel children (8+, adolescents, adults, and couples. I also develop and implement psycho-educational, insight-oriented groups, eco-therapy based local workshops and international retreats. I also have enjoyed doing community presentations for North Island College, Military Support Groups, and School Districts.
I use a variety of counselling modalities such as Dialectical Behavioral therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Eye Movement Desentization and Reprocessing, Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Assertiveness Training, Personality Disorder Treatment, Emotion Focused Couples Therapy, trained in different Art Modalities, and now a trained clinical hypnotherapy. I will work with you to obtain your therapeutic goals using a specific therapy or a combination of therapy modalities that I am trained in.
